Zorro's Black Whip (1944)

Linda Sterling as The Black Whip
An exciting Wild West film made in 12 episodes; in the UK these films were shown on Saturday mornings, one episode at a time, intended for boys; the "Saturday Morning Pictures".

Following the Zorro legend, in a lawless part of Idaho, only Zorro, the Black Whip is capable of maintaining any semblance of law and order; but -- gasp -- he is shot and killed by an outlaw, who is himself killed in the exchange.

There's obviously only one thing for it -- his sister, played by Linda Sterling, will have to take over, dressing in his clothes, here alongside George Lewis in a studio portrait.
