The Yearling (1946)

WHy is Dad wearing a dress?
A sentimental and dated drama about the tribulations of living as a pioneer in the Florida of old.

Gregory Peck's son adopts a fawn, the title of the film. Jane Wyman's character is embittered from the loss of other children, and excessively strict.

Towards the end, Peck is modelling a special dress that his wife is making, for a wedding, and the maturing boy comes back unexpectedly, to Peck's embarrassment.
