In the future, rather than all that business of driving or catching a train, you just swap bodies with someone who is already at your destination, you see. This started out as a very interesting idea, and the first ten minutes of the film looked promising. If someone borrowed your body for illegal purposes, what then? And what if your body got damaged by the other person's carelessness?
Unfortunately the film didn't keep up the good work and descended very quickly into a basic formula of lots of humping sex, lots of violence, paranoia that the "system" and big businesses were in league to screw the little guy, and that pathetic cliché, the speeding car on the quayside that clips a pile of oil drums that burst spectacularly into flames.
Towards the end a woman discloses that she has swapped bodies with a man and found that an interesting experience; she then says that they have a "bootleg" body swap machine, and that many men have swapped into women's bodies and found the sexual experience terrific.
