Das Wirtshaus im Spessart (1958, West Germany)

The boy is dressed as the countess
A sentimental, and now very dated, story set in medieval times. A Countess is being driven through the forest in her coach, when there is an accident. The party go to an Inn in the forest: the Wirtshaus of the title.

But it becomes obvious that she may be taken hostage for a ransom, and as a ruse she persuades a youth to dress in her clothes.

The Countess herself
The Countess herself dresses in the youth's clothes. Neither of them make very convincing figures.
