A large piece of coloured glass was made in Persia in the 12th century, and has found its way to the present day, in the USA of course. It carries with it a sort of curse that enables a nasty spirit to emerge and take human form, of a man. The rest of the script is all too predictable.
The spirit is "The Wishmaster" and it has been reported that it takes the form of an old woman to deceive a girl into taking a wish. I couldn't see this, even though I watched it twice, which is all I'm going to sit through.
