A film in which a woman has become a successful singer, pretending to be a man. It's a sequel to He’s a Woman, She’s a Man which was extremely successful. The music impresario Sam (Leslie Cheung) and the singer Wing (Anita Yuen) are living together, but as Wing is pretending to be a man, assumptions of a gay relationship obviously arise, bothering Sam.
Now Fan-Fan (Anita Mui) arrives on the scene, and she is a romantic interest for both of them. Eric Tsang plays an older gay man "Auntie", who offers wise counsel to everyone. However the gay and love-triangle themes dominate the film, and the female-to-male crossdressing is hardly significant.
Like the earlier film, this is sometimes stated to be a sort of Victor/Victoria film, but there is no exploration of the other gender by Wing, and for Western audiences there is not much pure entertainment in the film. In fact the poor production quality make it quite hard work to follow.
The original title is Gum gee yuk yip 2.
