The Villain (1918)

Bathing in the river An early Billy West film, fairly obviously copied from the Chaplin film, "Till's Punctured Romance". West plays a dastardly cad, and who plays the rather overweight and naive young victim of his plans? Why, Oliver Hardy obviously, here bathing in the river.

Later in the general store Hardy appears later fully dressed.

Extracts from the film shown in The Further Perils of Laurel and Hardy.
