The Villain (1918)

An early Billy West film, fairly obviously copied from the Chaplin film, "Till's Punctured Romance". West plays a dastardly cad, and who plays the rather overweight and naive young victim of his plans? Why, Oliver Hardy obviously, here bathing in the river.

Hardy appears later fully dressed.
