L'uccello dalle piume di cristallo (1970, Italy)

Ursula Andress joins the identification parade
A crime thriller by Dario Argento, meaning that it's full of improbable events, weirdly wooden dialogue, and plenty of gory bits. An American writer is visiting Italy and witnesses a murder, and then becomes involved in trying to solve it, and other murders by the same person.

Some way into the film there is a police identification parade; the police have lined up some habitual suspects; several violent criminals step up in turn, their names and records announced by a policeman, we get this one:

Ursula Andress again
 "Rupertello Luigi, alias Ursula Andress".

Police Inspector: "No, no, Petrini ..."

"Yes Inspector?"

"What's this character doing here ... how many times do I have to tell you, Ursula Andress belongs with the transvestites, not the perverts!"

Andress: "Oh, I should hope so!"

There are several English titles, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, The Bird with the Glass Feathers, The Gallery Murders, Phantom of Terror, and Point of Terror.
