Up the River (1938)
Darby Randall (Arthur Treacher) and Chipper Morgan (Preston Foster) are in Rockwell Jail and they need to break out to deal with a confidence trickster who is taking advantage of another prisoner's mother. When the prison follies are put on, they are in drag for the performance.
They take the opportunity to break out of jail, and they hitch-hike to town ...
... and here William Irving finds Foster sexually alluring. Foster was a heavyweight wrestler, but he looks surprisingly passable.
