Unsere tolle Tanten (1961, Austria)

The aunts are invited for tea
Pit (Udo Jürgens) and his musician friends are out of work and are going to stay with an Uncle who lives near the picturesque Wörthersee lake. On the steamer they meet some girls who are going to stay at a strict boarding school.

They decide to meet up, but they can't think how to do it, until they notice a poster for a stage performance of Charley's Aunt. So they dress as Aunts of the girls and are welcomed by the headmistress, until they are exposed. There's a short stage performance near the end of the film too.

A film with no pretensions to be taken seriously, it was more successful commercially than was expected.

The title means "Our Crazy Aunts".
