Takeshis (2005, Japan)

An utterly incopmprehensible surreal film by Kitano, following his success with Zatôichi. This film follows the story of two different Kitanos. The first is the successful director, and the second is a struggling actor who goes for auditions but never gets any work. The two of them meet and start to think what it must be like to be the other.

The transgender content of this film is minor and has guest appearances by Japan's most famous drag queen chanteuse Miwa Akihiro (formerly Maruyama) ...

... and Tachibana Daigoro.
