Min-Woo is a photographer on assignment to get pictures of a politician in his "love shack". It is a boring job waiting for the target to show up. When he is not waiting he is out getting drunk. Min-Woo runs into an old girl friend who promises to sleep with him 9 times. After a night of drinking he witnesses a traffic accident and watches the victim as she dies on the street. As if this were not enough to mess with his mind, he also has just moved into a new apartment vacated by the former tenant who left all her belongings behind. Min-Woo begins to have visions of the former tenant. We see flashbacks of her arguments with her father, and the relationship she had with a young gay man on the verge of a sex change.
We meet the young woman and her gay friend during the idyllic pre-operative stages during a flashback. Min-woo, when he was making minor repairs to the apartment, finds a lost necklace that belonged to the former tenant. He goes on another drinking binge and staggers into a bar. The bartender is the young gay friend, but he has transitioned and is now sporting shoulder length curled hair. Min-Woo buys a drink and drops the necklace into the drink and staggers out of the bar. The bartender collects the glass and finds the necklace he had given to his friend.
The image above is believed to be a storyboard frame, and it is not a still from the actual film.
The film's Korean name appears to be Sal-Kyoel
