The Terror Train (1979)

Kenny
A masked killer stalks college kids on a party train. Although it gives away the ending, the killer - Kenny - is hiding on the train disguised as the magician's sexy female assistant. Pretty convincing, although a female actress dubs the voice.

The actual plot is a bit predictable, really "Halloween" on a train. You know what's going to happen at the outset, when
(a) lots of over-age college kids board a chartered train late at night all wearing well made fantasy costumes with face masks, and
(b) the railway people say "Sure is a pity we ain't got a two-way radio on that there train", i.e. once it starts those poor kids will be out of contact if anything happens, like multiple murders or anything.

And it's no surprise when the first body on the train is discovered, that the conductor (Ben Johnson) doesn't stop the train at the next road crossing to get help, but just locks the body in the toilet and goes to have a drink.

Jamie Lee Curtis plays herself, of course, and seems to be the only college kid on board not actually wearing costume. Some of the characterisation is remarkably non-politically-correct, for example the catering staff on the train are all black and the operating crew are all white; and the Conductor repeatedly tries to get Jamie Lee back from viewing the body, presumably in case she should swoon.
