Tarzan Aur Jaadugar (1963 India)

Chintu, i have become a man
An early monochrome Bollywood film by Rhadakant; Chintu is working in the field. He discovers a strange wand, which has magical powers, and he turns into a woman, appropriately dressed. He's only mildly surprised, feeling his new long hair, and sari. But he slumps to the ground.

He calls his wife, Ghungru; she comes and, unabashed by Chintu's new gender, unhelpfully comments "Where did you steal all this jewellery from, Chintu?"

He says, "I'm doomed; I've become a woman". Ghungru hasn't got a comment on this observation, and doesn't seem much concerned. She sees the wand and picks it up, saying "I wonder what this is?" and she turns into a rather stout man, complete with moustache and turban.

The film is in Hindi with English subtitles.
