A Scream in the Streets (1973)

Chatting up the police decoy
A terrible sexploitation film, based on two policemen trying to enforce the law. Some of the illegality involves a peeping tom, and this gives the film an opportunity to linger on whatever it was he was watching, including a lesbian sequence.

However, someone has been killing single women in the city park, and an undercover policewoman is sent out as a decoy, soon to take her turn as a murder victim.

The killer is a woman-hating transvestite, and pretty unconvincing too. He gets pumped full of holes by one of the cops at the end of the film, no doubt in retribution for wearing such a terrible wig.

The killer is played by Con Covert, the drag stage name of Christopher Geoffries. (One website reports the killer to be played by Brandy Lyman, but that is a mistake; Brandy Lyman plays his victim).

The film was also released as Girls in the Street and Scream Street.
