A feature film based on the long running television series aimed at young female teenagers, Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Sabrina and her friend discover a merman in distress and save him. He is a musclebound young man at the top half, and a fish from the waist down. But he's described by the girls as a merman, and a merguy, with no transgender dimension.
As one of the girls is a witch, it's a simple matter to magic him some legs. When they tell him they can give him legs, he says, "Oh great, you mean just like yours?" and Salem, a talking cat says, "Well, not exactly like theirs -- otherwise you'd be able to star in Victor - Victoria".
That evening there is an amateur night entertainment, and one of the entertainers is a man playing a mermaid, with very crude disguise materials.
