Luka (Jana Straulino) is a seventeen year old girl, but she is unhappy and thinks she might rather be a boy. Her uncaring parents send her away to a boarding school, and as she has short hair and dresses ambiguously, she was assumed to be a boy the school were expecting, and who hasn't shown up. She takes up the role, and the film traces events from there.
While the usual sequences follow ... a different attitude from the school bully, which lavatory to use, shower problems etc, the drama is better developed than is usually the case and it succeeds both as a general screenplay and as a transsexual biography.
