The Secret Life of Archie's Wife (1990)

Bunny is a middle aged housewife, and she isn't really happy in her marriage. One day a bumbling thief, Walter (Michael Tucker) forces her to drive him away from the scene where his car crashed, and against the odds Bunny and the man form a romantic bond. They decide to co-operate to their mutual benefit.

There is a gangster keeping observation on the house, and Walter puts on some of Bunny's clothes to sneak past him.

The film was also released as Runaway Heart.
