The Searchers (1956)

Wayne tells of what he has seen John Wayne cowboys and indians film. The Commanches have attacked an isolated family farm, where Wayne's sister and nieces lived. We assume that the females have been taken prisoner, and Wayne and some others go in search of them.

They find some of the Indians and one of Wayne's companions says he has seen one of the women from a distance, in the Commanche camp. But Wayne has just found the mutilated body, and grimly says that it was one of the bucks wearing her dress.
