Sapihes (1982, Israel)

An unchallenging teenagers' film about three young men who join the army, but seem more interesting in chasing the girls than learning how to be good soldiers.

The trio pose as officers ... apparently it's quite easy, you just get an officer's cap from the stores ... and take three impressionable women recruits to a bar. But the corporal turns up with his plump female opposite number. The three have to hide, and they go into the performers' dressing room. Amazingly there are three sets of female costume there, complete with wigs etc, which they put on. The MC then spots them and takes them to be the next act, and they get shoved onto the stage, where they do an impromptu song and dance act (pic).

The corporal evidently has an attachment to plump girls, for he becomes infatuated with the plumpest of the three, and takes "her" back to his quarters.

The film was one of a series, a collaboration between German and Israeli film producers. It was also released as:
