Bob Hope and Bing Crosby play one another off in a comedy with plenty of quick-fire gags. It might not be the deepest entertainment ever, but it's a good and funny film.
Paramount often included very brief appearances by other actors on their books in these films, and Dorothy Lamour was the love interest, being chased by Hope and Crosby. We see a short dream sequence where both Hope and Crosby dream that they have won the heart of Lamour. We then pass to another dream, that of Dorothy Lamour herself, but her dream has Dean Martin as her love interest; the female in the dream however, dressed exactly like Lamour herself in the other dreams, turns round and it is Jerry Lewis. Lewis made everyone laugh in his own films by going cross-eyed; I have never understood why anyone thinks this is funny.
