Reversals (2003, UK)

The role reversal is complete
AN unspeakably terrible British made-for-telly film, universally panned in the press the day after it was shown.

A couple are both in the medical profession, the wife a rather raucous and aggressive lecturer. She finds it difficult to attain her level of work and after a rather dire gender-change party at the hospital, she gets the idea of going for her husband's new job disguised as him. He then takes a more lowly job as a woman.

So far, so bad; a sort of double Tootsie. But the dialogue is so extremely improbable ... she tells a boss that "she has the balls for it" and the characters so stereotyped, that I had to switch it off before it was over ... I couldn't bear to watch it.
