A Rage in Harlem (1991)

Kathy the club owner I didn't think I was going to like this film, but it got going after about 20 minutes and then it was a lot of fun. Almost all the characters are black residents in a tough part of Harlem. A very square man gets caught up in all sorts of villainy and confidence trickery, but makes good in the end and even gets the very delectable girl.

Part of the action is in a strip joint run by a transvestite, Kathy, played by Zakes Mokae. Kathy's male persona participates in the film too.

Recommended.
