Qi xian nu (1963, China)

Ivy Ling Po plays a young mortal man, Bo Liang, who woos Fang Ying, the Seventh Daughter of the King of Heaven, in song, throughout. It's a pretty story with lavish attention to decorative set design, but there is a sad ending.

The film is also known as:

Chat sin lui (Cantonese title).
