Paradise Alley (1978)

Stitch is exposed Sylvester Stallone plays an Italian immigrant living in New York; he and his brothers lead a tough life, but luckily there is money to be made from wrestling. The film is fairly dark and is evidently Stallone's homage to how difficult things were in earlier days.

At the end of the film there is a long wrestling match. The losing wrestler's manager is called Stitch (played by Kevin Conway) and when his trousers are accidentally ripped off, we see that he wears female underwear and stockings; but this is only brief. This was forecast from the beginning of the film, when he was urging some girls in a clip joint he ran, to have sex with a customer. One of the women tells him that if he shaved his legs, he could make some money himself.
