The P(l)ain Truth (1993, Finland)
Harrowing story of someone's transition from female to male. He wants us to share the pain. There is no narrative or dialogue or plot, just jagged sound effects and industrial cutting from one semi-still scene to the next. No explanation of the surgery involved. Not an entertaining film, nor really informative; I am not sure what the object of it is, except to make the subject feel better, perhaps.
It's a 15 minute short; the dvd is 30 minutes long and if you sit through the blank second half, you get a couple of minutes of jagged music to ram the message home.
