Piñero (2001)

Cuqui does a home cabaret
The film tells the life story of Miguel Piñro, a Puerto Rican living in New York. He achieved considerable fame, or notoriety, for his work.

The film starts with a sequence in jail where he is appealing for parole, and we see his prisoner friends. The film then turns into a continuous flashback, exploring all their relationships with him. One of them is the exuberant transvestite Cuqui, played by Al D Rodriguez.
