Pixote (1981, Brazil)

Pixote is a small boy who gets rounded up and sent to jail in São Paulo. The prison regime is harsh and corrupt. When an inmate is killed, the authorities frame Lilica, a transsexual hustler. Lilica and some others escape, and Lilica gets a boyfriend, Cristal. The rest of the film follows their rather desperate lives. Lilica is played by Jorge Julião.
