Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)

A Pirate in female clothing Walt Disney film of pirates, with lots of swashbuckling action. A good, exciting kids' action film. Johnny Depp's character has to fight to sustain the honour of a lady, and to regain his ship.

Another Pirate in female clothing Two of Barbossa's crewmen create a diversion by rowing a dinghy past a British warship, dressed in female clothing, complete with a parasol. The drag is pretty crude, and is played in the film entirely for comic purposes. They are featured in several scenes, including the ensuing battle.

A female pirateAlso Elizabeth Swann (played by Keira Knightley) wears a soldier's trousers and coat and takes part in the cutlass action.

Interestingly, the film has some fighting CGI skeletons inserted although the action by the human beings seemed to me to be adequate. I think the studio assumed that the young audience expect it.
