A meandering relationship film about a man who takes work in a transvestite bar, for lack of something better. A woman comes in and has a drink; her life is a mess too, and they fall for one another. The rest of the film follows the relationship, which does not have a happy ending.
The film looks as if it was made on a pretty low budget, and in fact most of the scenes involve just the two main characters indoors. The transvestite bar is not at all unconvincing, and there are only three working girls there, played by Alfonse King, Angela Price and Ron Bagden, seen for a minute or two at the start of the film only.
The film was also released as Jane Doe; note also that there is a similarly titled film dated 2001.
