The Philadelphia Experiment (1984)

Michael Pare is a Navy man from the '40's who is hurled into the '80's by a time warp when a scientific experiment goes wrong. While detained in jail he encounters a sexy and good-looking transvestite and isn't fooled for a minute.

As a science-fiction film, it's let down for me by making no real attempt to give the feel of the 1940's, or of the problems for someone transported from then into the 1980's.
