Olsen-banden på spanden (1969, Denmark)

The Olsen band are three Danish petty criminals led by Egon Olsen, and the films, always an inept parody of gangsterism, achieved cult status in Scandinavia and Germany.

Egon Olsen comes out of jail (as usual in these films) but this time he is determined to go straight, due to a sexy female probation officer's influence. He gets boring work in a factory, and then he is a cleaner in a bank when gangsters break in to rob the vault. The money is evidently hidden in a cello case, and Olsen's resolve to go straight weakens. To get the money, Olsen's sidekick Kjeld dresses as a hotel maid to get access to the hotel room where the gangsters are hiding out.
