The Near Room (1995, UK)

An investigative reporter, Charlie Colquhoun (Adrian Dunbar) gets the sack from his editor and he is persuaded by his ex-wife to find their daughter, a drug addict.

The trail leads into child-sex and kiddy porn. The whole screenplay is very dark, and it's not an entertaining film to watch.

In his relentless search, Charlie forces a transvestite prostitute, Bunny, played by Andy Serkis, to help him with information.
