A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

It's Freddy The original in the series. Nancy Thompson has dreams in which a menacing figure, Freddy Krueger, is trying to kill her. When she discovers that her friends are having similar dreams, and when some of them actually die, things get serious. And as usual in this kind of teenagers' film, none of the adults will believe her. Nancy Thompson was played rather dully by Heather Langenkamp.

The film cuts constantly into dream sequences, and here, Nancy is at school, trying (in her sleep) to escape from Freddy; but he is ahead of her, having already turned into Tina Gray.
