A powerful story of the Australian-Irish robber and his gang. As usual nowadays, the British are portrayed as devious, incompetent and grasping, and just about anyone else, in this case Irish immigrants to Australia, are heroes. However, a good attempt has been made to get costumes -- and hairstyles -- reasonably authentic.
Joe Byrne put on a dress as a disguise to go and shoot his best friend who had betrayed the gang, Aaron Sherritt. He approaches the shack where he is living at dead of night.
