The story follows a young Hong Kong woman, Ann, (Sophie Ngan Chin-man) who has received an injury which means that she forgets everything that happened more than fifteen minutes ago. But her boyfriend was recently killed in her flat, and she is the only witness to what happened ... and of course she can't remember.
A detective is assigned to help her, and they revisit the places she used to frequent, hoping to revive her memory. This comes back slowly, piece by piece, and the result is a gripping whodunnit. Ann's former boss Cherry has lesbian designs on her, and takes her to a "Tomboy" club, and later to her own S&M dungeon. Cherry has a helper, who re-appears at the very end of the film. Not everything about Ann's boyfriend is positive either, and it becomes increasingly obvious that he was a shady character. Ann also discovered him embracing a mysterious man at a gay club.
At the end, this character reveals herself, with an improbably deep voice, to be a transsexual. The resolution of all the mysteries is pretty improbable too, but that's show business. The film has no connection with Naked Poison.
