The Newlydeads (1988)

The Newlywed Lodge is the ideal place for newly married couples to enjoy a quiet honeymoon, or it was until the owner (Jim Williams) chats up a visiting female (Scott Kaske) and discovers far too late that she is really a he. Enraged, he kills transvestite Kaske with an icepick and his troubles have only just begun.

Fifteen years later, on Williams' own wedding night, the ghost of the murdered transvestite stalks the lodge, killing off newlywed couples in a gruesome assortment of ways: a brass rod through the head, stabbings, impalement on tree limbs, decapitation with a saw. There is also a strangulation when the ghost transforms into Williams' wife and makes him strangle his real wife by mistake. It's up to psychic Jean Levine to save the day with a knife tied to the end of a crucifix in what is certainly one of the tackiest transvestite films you will ever see.
