The Matchmaker (1958)

Perkins and Morse in drag A mannered, and now rather dated, romantic drama about a society lady who steers other people towards marriage, but finally falls in love with one of her subjects.

The film is a great chance to see many American actors of distinction in unfamiliar roles. In particular we see Anthony Perkins and Robert Morse; they dress in drag -- clothing conveniently left around -- to leave a high-class restaurant where a dinner dance is taking place.
