Macbeth (1948)

The three witches Orson Welles' classic and dark production of the Shakespeare tragedy. Some of the costumes look as if they came from a Genghis Khan production.

Of the three witches, one is played by Brainerd Duffield. As he also played "First Murderer", I presume this was nothing more than a cost-saving measure; this (pic) is the clearest shot we get of the witches, although in a voice over before the titles, we do notice that one of them has a huskier voice.
