Marie Antoinette (2006)

A lavish account of the wife of Louis XVI of France, somewhat spoiled for me by intentional inclusion of modern elements to the screenplay.

The film has been suggested as having transgender content in that at the end, Louis XVI attempted to escape to Varennes dressed as a girl. Whether that is history or not, the escape is only briefly alluded to at the end of the film, and there is no transgender content in it.
