An interesting, but rather slow film, about a driver making a delivery who happens across a crashed car on a lonely rural road; the driver is badly injured. He telephones for help, but while this is coming, he talks to the other man. He tells him that he was on the way to meet up with a girl he last knew when they were young, at a dancing school which is the name of the film.
The man is persuaded to go there himself and meet the woman, and the plot develops with flashbacks and previous events coming together in the present. Some of the 1962 sequences look contrived and exaggerated, but the film is entertaining.
In one of the flashbacks, boys and girls are lined up as part of the formal dancing lessons; one of them is wearing a bra under his jacket, over his shirt, as a joke apparently. The teacher, Miss Hotchkiss, tells him to take the bra off, saying primly, "You may have your jacket -- and your brassiere-- after class". This short flashback also appeared in the 1994 short film with the same title.
