Mädchen mit schwachem Gedächtnis (1956, West Germany)

Anny arrives in Munich to start her career in films, but she's penniless and she soon gets thrown out of the cheap hotel where she is staying. A friend suggested that she should pretend to have lost her memory, so that the authorities will have to take her in and support her. She tries this, and is "claimed" by a couple of opportunistic swindlers who need a "daughter" to fool someone they intend to cheat.

Anny has to go along with this, but Peter, her boyfriend, decides to go to the house and investigate, pretending to be a housemaid.
