Mazurka på sengekanten (1970, Denmark)

The transvestite in the sex shop
Usually characterised as porn, this is a rather tame film about a young schoolteacher who is inexperienced sexually. He teaches at a fee-paying private school in Denmark, and he is in line for promotion to Dean, but he needs to get a wife to satisfy the Board of Governors' requirements.

The schoolboys are as anxious for him to get the promotion as anyone else, and their underhand methods land him in various awkward situations. He goes to a sex shop where the female staff are topless and entirely matter-of-fact about what is on offer; while he is hesitating this transvestite, played by Holger Vistisen, appears.

The title means "Mazurka at the bedside" due to the Mazurka dance being prominent in the teacher's sexual learning process; the film has also been released as Bedroom Mazurka and Bedside Mazurka.
