Mandolinen und Mondschein (1959, Germany)

Escapist romantic musical set in Venice. Girl needs an excuse to get into the bedroom of the romantic male lead, in a luxury hotel. Having been refused access by the stuffy reception porter, she spots a spare bellboy's uniform and puts it on.

Remember Nina and Frederik, the singing duo? They're in the film. Pity they couldn't act.
