Lily Savage: Live and Outrageous from the Garrick Theatre (1995, UK)

Lily Savage
A made for video film of Paul O'Grady, doing a stand-up routine as Lily Savage at the Garrick. O'Grady played the character of Lily Savage, a coarse but witty woman from Liverpool, over a longish period, although he has given up the role now. His delivery is skilfully arranged and always funny.

Inevitably on stage the language contained more f-words and more X-rated humour, although this sequence is less extreme than some of his stage work. His appearance is less convincing somehow in this video, and also his Adam's apple seems to be more prominent here.

In the chorus line
O'Grady does an hour or so of one-person stand-up comedy, and the video then goews to a spoof dance duet, and then a chorus line. I have always thought that one of O'Grady's great attributes was his slim and small body shape, but in the chorus line he clearly towers over the real females.
