Little Richard (2000)

A biographical film about the singer. When he was a little boy, there is a scene where his sisters have helped him to dress up as a girl; he looks quite convincing. His father comes in and is about to thrash him; we hear that the father does this regularly.

The scene lasts a minute or so, but there is no deeper significance to it, and it is evdient that the filmmakers inserted it to signal that the father is abusive; the dressing up is only a children's game.
