Lilla Jönsson Ligan - På Styva Linan (1997, Sweden)

Charles-Ingvar, nicknamed Sickan, and his friends Harry and Ragnar are delighted when they find out that a circus is coming to their small town. Disappointed at being unable to get a job helping out (and a free look at the show) they resolve to get up to trickery to get tickets.

Unfortunately two town bullies take the tickets from them by force, and they decide to get them back by breaking in at night to the house of one of the bullies, whose father is a rich factory owner. When they get there, by an incredible coincidence it happens that some of the circus members are breaking in at the same time to steal the father's priceless collection of paintings. In the confusion, the boys are identified as the picture thieves and "wanted" notices for them go up everywhere.

Going on the run, the trio put on girl's clothes as a disguise.
