Not the best of Pedro Almodóvar's work, this film traces the intertwined "liberated" and complicated relationships of a lot of people. Fabio is content, though interestingly, no explicit "action". I'm not sure that this one is a good example, though, and the plot is quite difficult to follow. It involves several intertwined, unorthodox relationships.
This is a drag queen rock performer, Fabio.
Almodóvar himself gets in drag (left) on stage to sing with him.
Here in the Madrid night, at the end of the film, some of the waiting hookers are transvestites.
At best the film can be said to be a celebration of the escape from the repression of the Republic when Franco was in oppressive power.
The English title of the film is Labyrinth of the Passions.
