After World War III, a virus was released that destroyed the Y chromosomes, and resulted in a nearly women-only world of non-violence. Lots of material there for exploring all sorts of issues, but the approach of this film is to do so in an obvious, and sometimes embarrassing, way.
In a nearly all-woman world, the issue of love and affection looms high up the agenda, and one way this is resolved is through some women in drag, presenting as rather small, and, one trusts, non-violent men.
Opportunity missed to raise some big issues, actually.
