L.627 (1992, France)

This is a gritty film about the tough job the French police have in enforcing drugs laws; the title refers to a particular law in the French code.

When film people want to show the audience that things are on the seamy side, they sometimes resort to the expedient of including a transvestite in the setting-up part of the film, and here Alexandra Scherpereel is getting taken from police hq to prison. Oh dear.
